Fiercely independent since 1995, Caseco has led the UK market offering a wide range of spectacle cases and optical accessories of the utmost quality and style.
Peter Wood founded Caseco in 1995, drawing on his vast sourcing experience in the gift industry, particularly in the area of sourcing and product design. Caseco started with a few well-appointed cases specifically designed for discerning consumers and the optician’s who serve them.
Starting out from his garage and harnessing his passion for design and attention to detail, Peter grew the business steadily. In 1997, Julian Clarke joined as the first sales representative covering the majority of the UK and Republic of Ireland.
In early 2020, as Peter stepped back from executive duties due to ill health, Julian re-joined the business following 8 years in international commercial leadership mainly for British high-end independent eyewear businesses.
Now occupying warehousing premises in Staplehurst, Kent, Caseco serves more than 700 opticians and non-optical businesses (including heritage sites, luxury businesses and musical instrument manufacturers) across the UK and further afield.
Caseco continues to provide a unique personalized service, and offer a generous variety of colour, materials and print styles across many different accessories, allowing opticians and other retail businesses a complete customisation service for low minimum order quantities.
Since 1995, Caseco has led the UK market offering spectacle cases and optical accessories of the utmost quality and style.
Julian’s optical career started at Caseco 25 years ago when he was hired as Caseco’s first UK sales representative. In 2013 he left to work as a global commercial lead for high-end independent brands, before starting a commercial and marketing consultancy (Curoptica). “It’s great to be back with Caseco and this amazing team. It is a pivotal time for the role of independent practice in the UK and there are many opportunities. Caseco have many exciting plans for helping practices make the most of those opportunities - launching this full-service website is just the start.“

Many of you will have already worked with Angela, who has been a key part of our team for 9 years, having worked her way from Warehouse Assistant to Bespoke manager. Angela explains, “Family time for me is enjoyed at Staplehurst Cricket Club where I’ve prepared match teas, helped with fund raising events and supported their many social events. I’m partial to our team day-trips to London, the theatre, BBQ’s and our excellent local pubs.”

Debbie explains, “I’m waiting to take your orders, assist with your queries and looks forward to speaking with you on the phone, via email or fulfilling your orders from this website.”

Karen adds, “ I deal with the day-to- day mechanics of the office and managing our accounting administration, and am always happy to help.
